Asus Launches EAH4890 Graphics Card Line-up

Asus introduced the Asus EAH4890 Series, which a press release claims is the world’s first graphics cards to utilize “Voltage Tweak” technology. Asus has launched two variants- the EAH4890 TOP/HTDI/1GD5, which is tweaked to provide more performance and the EAH4890 HTDI/1GD5. The release claims that users will be able to boost GPU voltages via the SmartDoctor application and enjoy up to 15% in performance improvement. With this technology the GPU voltages can be increased from 1.312V to 1.4V in ASUS EAH4890/HTDI/1GD5, allowing GPU and memory clock performances to be boosted from 850MHz to 950MHz and 3900MHz to 4600MHz respectively.
The EAH4890 Series also incorporates ATI’s Stream technology, which utilizes the parallel processing power of AMD graphics processors to deliver better performance in graphics rendering and video processing. The Asus cards have 1GB GDDR5 of video memory, a 256-bit interface and support resolutions of up to 2560x1600.
